R’ Heschel of Krakow zt”l (Chanukas HaTorah) would say: “'כי קרן עור פניו' - The Medrash teaches that Moshe received exactly enough ink to write the entire Torah, but when his name was later removed from Parshas Tetzaveh in response to his plea, “Erase me from Your book,” after the Chet Haegel, a small amount of ink remained unused. That leftover ink became the source of the radiant light he absorbed by rubbing it on his head. Since Moshe’s act of self-sacrifice, when he offered to forfeit his name in the Torah for Klal Yisroel’s sake; Parshas Ki Sisa which records his willingness to lose everything also reveals the spiritual reward that resulted.”
A Wise Man would say: “Truth is stranger than fiction, because Fiction is obliged to stick to possibilities; Truth isn’t.”
