Chacham Rabbi Azarya Figo zt”l (Bina L’itim) would say: “'ברוך תהיה מכל העמים לא יהיה בך עקר ועקרה' - What is the connection between berachos and infertility? According to the Medrash (3:6), ‘Baruch tiheyeh mikol ha’amim’ means that ‘all the nations of the world will bless you.’ Consequently, Hashem is assuring the Jewish people that, although all the nations of the world will bless them, it will not prevent them from increasing to deny them credit, for He will bless us with future generations which will ensure our continuity.”
